We were delighted to welcome Adrien Bombal for the opening of PhotoFromTheSun, an exhibition of photographs printed using the cyanotype printing technique.
This technique is one of the very first photographic printing processes invented in 1842 in England by John Herschel and used in botany by Anna Atkins.
The method, based on photosensitive ferric salts, produces a monochrome Prussian Blue image.
Thanks to this technique, which requires only paper and sunlight, Adrien developed a passion for the process during his trip to Sri Lanka, organizing mini exhibitions in the villages and sharing the technique with the locals.
The series of photos presented here come from various trips and creations over the past 2 years. Aquashoot in Sri Lanka, Morocco, Costa Rica, double exposure in argentic, shooting in Cenitz, Laffit. Each print is a unique work of art.
Many thanks to all those who came to the exhibition and to the independent artists.
